Profhilo is thermally cross linked, which means that the Hyaluronic acid molecules are heated to bond them. Dermal fillers are linked chemically. This makes them work in very different ways and serve different purposes.

What can I expect during my treatment?

Your treatment plan will begin with a thorough complimentary consultation at Maya Medi Spa – with one of our highly experienced Aesthetic Doctors or Nurses. After discussing your treatment goals and a body assessment, we will create a tailored treatment plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. As with all injectable treatments there is always a risk of bruising. There may be some swelling or a bruise at the injection sites which normally resolves in a few hours or the next few days. You can usually return to work immediately after treatment.

What can I expect from my results?

Profhilo normally involves 2 treatment sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Expect to see a gradual intense hydration, improvement in lines and quality of skin, and a gradual lifting and tightening of the skin. In younger patients, there is mostly and improvement of the skin envelope and in older patients it fills in depleted areas of skin. It’s quite a magical treatment.
